1、安裝漏電保護器

漏電保護器也叫保命器，它的作用從“保命器”這三個字就可以理解。因為點火燃油泵在油下工作，容易漏電造成電能損失甚至引發(fā)觸電事故。如果裝有漏電保護器，只要點火燃油泵漏電值超過漏電保護器的動作電流值（一般不超過30毫安），漏電保護器就會切斷點火燃油泵的電源，避免漏電浪費電能，確保安全。

2、電源電壓異常莫開機

農村由于低壓供電線路比較長，線路的末端電壓過低是常有的事。當相電壓低于198伏，線電壓低于342伏時，點火燃油泵電機轉速下降，當達不到額定轉速的70%時，啟動離心開關會閉合，造成啟動繞組長時間通電而發(fā)熱甚至燒壞繞組和電容器。相反，電壓過高引起電機過熱而燒壞繞組。因此，點火燃油泵在作業(yè)中，操作者必須隨時觀察電源電壓值，若低于額定電壓10%以下，高于額定電壓10%以上，應使電機停止運轉，找出原因并排除故障。

為避免潛油電泵*超負荷工作，不要抽含沙量大的油并隨時觀察電流值是否在銘牌上規(guī)定的數值，若發(fā)現(xiàn)電流過大，應停機檢查。另外，電泵脫油運行的時間不宜過長，以免使電機過熱而燒毀。

不要頻繁地開關點火燃油泵，這是因為電泵停轉時會產生回流，若立即開機，會使電機負載啟動，導致啟動電流過大而燒壞繞組。由于啟動時電流很大，頻繁啟動也會燒壞點火燃油泵電動機繞組。

5、電纜線安裝與潛油電泵的絕緣電阻要求

安裝點火燃油泵時，電纜線要架空，電源線不要太長。點火燃油泵下油或提出時切勿使電纜受力，以免引起電源線斷裂。點火燃油泵工作時不要沉入泥中，否則會導致電機散熱不良而燒壞電機繞組。安裝時，電機的絕緣電阻不應低于0.5兆歐。
