稱重系統一般由一個固定模塊，一個半浮動模塊及若干個浮動模塊組成，半浮動模塊須安裝在固定模塊的對角；固定模塊的安裝支點不會產生水平位移，因此在系統設計過程中，管道和電氣連接部分應靠近該點；半浮動和浮動模塊使系統能圍繞固定點移動，消除容器變形對稱重產生的影響。
